Rumos launches Microsoft Discovery Days
24 January, 2023
Rumos Training is launching Microsoft Discovery Days, a cycle of three online and free training sessions about Microsoft technologies, particularly Cloud, Data, and Business Applications.
The Microsoft Discovery Days are dedicated to technologies, such as Azure, Azure Data Services, and Power Platform. These sessions are aimed at business managers and IT technical professionals, as well as those who are starting to work with solutions and services based on any of the tools previously mentioned.
The event begins with the session “Step into the Azure Cloud” on February 17th from 2pm to 6pm. Participants will learn the fundamental concepts about cloud computing and its models and services – public, private, and hybrid cloud, as well as the fundamentals of Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), fully benefiting from Microsoft Azure’s main pillars - security, privacy, and compliance.
The session “Step into the Azure Data Services” takes place on June 15th from 10am to 1pm. The fact that the various sectors of a company work with data differently inevitably leads to different conclusions within the same organization, making it harder to extract new ideas from the information available and causing unnecessary costs. In this session, participants will acquire the fundamentals of Azure cloud data services, explore relational and non-relational data solutions, including the main resources and provisioning, and finally learn about Big Data and solutions for data warehouse analysis.
The last session “Step into the Power Platform” takes place on October 30th from 10am to 1pm. Microsoft predicted that over 500 million apps will be created in the upcoming five years, in other words, more than all of the apps ever created in the last 40 years. In this session, participants will learn how to start creating useful apps that analyze business performance in real-time, how to react based on insights from analysis, how to automate workflows to maximize efficiency, and how to use Dataverse to safely store and manage data.
Participation in the Microsoft Discovery Days training sessions includes access to official Microsoft training material and exam vouchers. The vouchers will be given to participants who attend a minimum of 70% of the live-streaming session, fill out the questionnaire not anonymously, and redeem a Microsoft badge once the support material provided by Rumos is complete.
Although participation is free, registration is necessary since the spots are limited. Click the links above to find out more about the sessions and how to register.
