Cisco Recertification Program
16 February, 2023
If you are looking to revalidate your Cisco certification, you should learn about the Continuing Education Program. As a way to incentivize candidates to keep up-to-date, develop, and diversify their skill set, Cisco created a new Recertification Program that offers flexible options to revalidate already existing skills and certifications.
What is the Continuing Education Program?
The Cisco Continuing Education Program offers Associate, Specialist, Professional, and Expert level Cisco certification holders flexible options to revalidate their certifications by accumulating credits.
Actively certified candidates are automatically qualified to benefit from this Program simply by logging in to the Continuing Education Program Portal and submitting their activities/training within 90 days after activity completion.
Recertification can be done in two ways:
- Complete the eligible activities* to earn the necessary credits to recertify
Or when applicable
- Pass an exam and complete one of the eligible activities for recertification.
*Professional Training is among the eligible activities.
What do you need to do to recertify?
All requirements for recertification must be completed by your certification expiration date. Individuals who allow their certification(s) to expire must complete the full examination process again to earn active status. Recertification can take place at any time during the certification active status by accumulating credits, advancing to the next level of certification, or by combining both.
How many credits do Cisco courses provide?
At Rumos, you will find official Cisco courses, a company we have been training and certification partners with since 1995. Check the Cisco training catalog on Rumos' website and find information about the credits on each course page.
